Portrait Photography, Adelaide
Every portrait begins with conversation rather than direction. The photographs are made after the performance has faded, when expression becomes less guarded and personality has room to emerge.
Four stages, start to wall.
The Conversation
Before a camera comes out, we talk about who's in the portrait, what it's for, and where it will hang. Fifteen minutes tells me more than a mood board ever could.
The Location
Your home, a favourite place, or somewhere we choose together. No studio, no seamless paper backdrop — the setting is part of the portrait.
The Session
Unposed and unhurried. I work in natural light and let the moment happen rather than direct it into place.
The Print
Every commission is hand-printed as a fine art giclée in my own studio — not sent to a lab. The same process I use for gallery and museum-quality work.
